AMSA is the peak representative body of Australia's 18,500 medical students. Our mandate is to connect, inform, and represent the emerging health workforce.

We are renowned for our advocacy, working closely with the Federal Government, the Australian Medical Association (AMA), peak university and specialist training bodies, medical student societies, State Medical Student Councils and the Australian Indigenous Doctors Association (AIDA) to elevate the medical student voice.

We are a leader in medical education, creating free resources, webinars, training modules, exam materials, as well as a range of publications circulated nationwide. Please visit the pages of our Committees and our Publications for more information.

We build an inclusive national community that forms a highlight of the medical student experience. Our members can be found at every university across the country. We engage students with world-class events, from state-based events to our annual National Convention – the largest student-run event in the Southern Hemisphere.

To get involved, follow our socials and keep a look out for advocacy and event callouts, or come to one of our many annual events!
