Med school has exposed me to countless epic AMSS events, but also (unfortunately) to our dysfunctional, disjointed healthcare system. I’m nominating to be your AMA(SA) Representative to play my part in fixing it.

Hey guys, I'm George from 4th year and I'm running to be your 2027 AMA(SA) Rep!

While I may be known for convening ADL26, I was also on the AMSA Board for the past 2 years and served as an Executive Board Director on both Board Committees (Nominations & Governance, Audit & Risk). Mathilda (Tilly) Meinecke 4th Year

I’ve always loved rural health, so I’d be keen to be AMSS's rural rep next year (which I'll be spending in lincoln/ceddy). I’ve been involved in rural health through a bunch of roles especially in AURHA, including president this year, and I’ve enjoyed organising events, bringing students together, and advocating for them. I’d love to bring that experience to AMSS by keeping the rural cohort connected, making useful rural guides, running some rural events (AURHA collab? :eyes:) and ensuring rural students have a strong voice. I’m here to support the SAMSA as the JAMSA mosquito.

I’ll be creating a buzz about AMSA events so get keen for BRIS27, GHC27 and RHS27!

Mozzies are keen on blood, so using the skills I learnt as year rep, I’ll be hyping up the Vampire Cup! But instead of an itchy bite I’ll get you plenty of prizes for your participation.

Hey, I'm Sushanth and I'd love to advocate for the pre-clins! 6/7 reasons I'd love to be JAMSA in 2027 are to:

1. AMPLIFY pre-clins' voices at Team Rep and AMSA council.

2/3. AIM to deliver us to victory in the National Vampire Cup AND Tri-Society Blood Drive.

4. AID in managing our BRIS27 delegation (ADL26 was lit).

5. ASSIST with welfare.

6. ACTIVELY work with the SAMSA throughout the year and be a helping hand.

hi! i’m annabel, a second year medical student. can i confirm you are my supervising amss members?

i would love to be your junior amsa representative, to bring innovation to vampire cup and streamline convention, while working alongside, and learning from, senior amsa.

as jamsa 2027, my assessment is the importance of making BRIS27 fun and accessible, to maintain engagement from ADL26, and to be actively involved in policy voting to promote change.

my recommendations are a vital convention logistics assessment, and to make involvement more accessible for those not eligible to donate blood for vampire cup.

I would love to bring a new perspective to IT officer next year! With a programming background (see my work at atlasweb.dev and damaremosaics.com), I have the experience to give our IT great new updates: think tickets saved to wallet apps for faster entry to events, a MedCamp score tracker, or simply keeping our website organised. Our website is a strong platform for advocacy, and I would ensure it is used to its full potential. Canva and I have become quite well acquainted over my 5 years of med school - from my roles in AMSF, PaedSoc, and as MedBall convenor. This, alongside my childhood passion for making iMovie trailers, equips me well for a year of being an influencer/graphic designer/editor (see photo for evidence!).

We had so much fun and success in the Gender Officer role this year. We did lots of work behind the scenes with the Uni Faculty to improve the course to be more inclusive in the presentation of its content. We also had a blast working alongside our 2026 Queer Officers in running an amazing IDAHOBIT movie night and Quiz Night (Raising almost $1500 for FEAST Queer Youth Drop-In).

hi lovelies!
my passion for research ignited recently, when i presented at the 2026 ASSC surgical conference. i remember wondering what on earth an ‘abstract’ was (i was only familiar with abstract paintings). what fuelled my heart was standing proudly in front of my poster, knowing about a niche neurosurgical topic, and having insightful conversations about robotic assisted surgery with strangers (wish i knew that much for my MS2A exam!) if you want an eye-opening experience like mine, i can bring to you:

Vision:
• Launch “Philanthropy Week”!!!!!!!! A week dedicated to teaming up with Medsocities for donation drives, daily small charity activities (with inter-year competition for participation), and the week culminating with an inaugural charity event!!!! We’ll coincide this with the Vampire Cup Drive to further grow engagement too.

• We will incorporate YOUR voice in charity selection.

• For SSS we’d look into securing long-term sponsors, and rebranding the event to reflect the growing partnership between societies. Together we bring a strong skillset as events convenors, AMSA convention team and prior AMSS roles.
