AMSF Scholarships

The Adelaide Medical Students’ Foundation (AMSF or the Foundation) is an independent body established and governed by current Adelaide Medical Students and past Graduates. It exists solely to serve and support Adelaide Medical Students at an individual, group and organisational level.

The Foundation works closely with like-minded organisations such as the Adelaide Medical Students’ Society and University of Adelaide to provide direct, tangible support to Adelaide Medical Students.

Travel Scholarship

We are pleased to announce that the Adelaide Medical Students’ Foundation (AMSF) will again be releasing Travel Scholarships for electives conducted by Fifth or Sixth Year Medical Students at the University of Adelaide.

The Foundation was created by the Adelaide Medical Students’ Society (AMSS) two years ago, and exists to provide tangible support for Adelaide Medical Students into the long-term. This is the first exciting step for the Foundation in giving back to Adelaide Medical Students.

We will be offering three Travel Scholarships each valued at $1,000.00. The summarised details regarding the application process are as below:

• Applications are due by Friday 27 May 2011;
• Applications must include:
  • A completed copy of the Scholarship Contract signed by the applicant;
  • A completed copy of the AMSF Travel Scholarship Application Form;
  • Any additional material you feel is relevant; for example, this may include evidence (curriculum vitae, research papers etc.) to support any long-term goals or interests you claim to have in your application.

N.B. forms may be submitted electronically. Applicants should be aware that long supporting documentation may not be read.

• Submit applications to secretary@amsfoundation.org.au;
• Applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application by Friday 17 June 2011.

Other scholarships

The Foundation intends to release other scholarships for medical students at the University of Adelaide in the future. All new scholarships will be broadly publicised and all eligible medical students are strongly encouraged to apply!
